FREE UNIVERSAL PRE-KINDERGARTEN

Universal Pre Kindergarten is funded by the NYC Department of Education. Vernon Avenue Children’s School receives funds each year to provide services to 50 prekindergarten children who are 4 years old or will turn 4 years old before December 31st.

Our UPK provides students with a curriculum that is aligned to state standards. Play and social development is very important to us as a school community as we incorporate this each day into our planned activities. Please access our School/Curriculum link for more information.

Enrollment for UPK is ongoing. It is important that you register early, as we only accept

36 students for the Full Day spots (8 AM TO 2:20 PM)

14 students for the Half Day Spots (1:30pm TO 4:00 PM) OR (8:00AM TO 10:30 AM)

*Please note that extended day is available based upon your qualifications for enrollment in our other programs (Head Start; HRA; CPSE)
